Rockwood Inn is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The inn is housed in one of Cape's historic buildings, built in the 1920s, The Himmelberger House. In the front lawn, a gingko tree grows. The client wanted an elevated brand inspired by the roaring 20s. In order to elevate a somewhat played-out aethetic, I focused on small details inspired by the hotel itself: wallpapers, chair fabric, bricks, and, of course, the gingko tree.
